How Much Does ServiceTitan Cost? A Small Shop Owner's Read
By Mike Rhoads, Founder, NorthRidge Systems™·September 7, 2026
Every owner who starts shopping for a field service platform hits the same wall. There is no number on the site. You fill out a form, sit through a demo, and a week later a quote shows up that is bigger than you expected and harder to compare than you hoped.
This is not a hit piece. ServiceTitan is a serious product and plenty of large companies run on it well. But if you are running three to ten trucks doing residential drain work, you should understand exactly how that quote is assembled before you decide.
Why the price is quoted, not published
Enterprise software is priced to the company, not to the shelf. Your number moves with technician count, which modules you switch on, and the length of the contract. Two shops with the same truck count can land a long way apart depending on what the sales rep bundled.
That structure is normal at the enterprise level. It just means you have to do the comparison work yourself, because nobody publishes an apples to apples number for you.
The five line items that surprise owners
When an owner tells me the bill came in higher than the demo suggested, it is nearly always one of these.
- ·Onboarding or implementation, charged once and often several thousand dollars.
- ·Seats for office staff, not just field techs.
- ·Marketing and reporting modules priced separately from the base subscription.
- ·Payment processing, where the rate is part of the deal rather than a side note.
- ·Contract auto renewal, where the cancellation window is narrower than most owners assume.
The cost nobody quotes you
Implementation time is the real bill. Rebuilding a price book, importing customers, training techs, and running two systems in parallel eats weeks of owner attention. In a shop where the owner is also the best salesman, those weeks cost more than the subscription.
Ask the rep for an honest average time to full adoption for a company your size, and then ask what happens if it stalls halfway.
Questions to end the demo with
Do not get off the call without written answers. Any vendor worth buying from will give them.
- ·What is the all in monthly cost at my current tech count, with every module I saw today?
- ·What is the one time fee, and is any of it refundable?
- ·What is the contract length and the cancellation window?
- ·What is the payment processing rate, and can I keep my processor?
- ·How do I export my customers and job history if I leave?
What we charge, since we are asking them to be plain
FieldMetrx™ Core is $197 a month billed annually, or $297 month to month, and it covers up to five techs. No onboarding fee. 30 day money back window. It is live today, so you can run your next ten jobs through it and decide with real numbers instead of a demo.

Frequently asked
Does ServiceTitan publish pricing?
No. Pricing is quoted per company after a demo, based on technician count, modules, and contract length.
Is there an onboarding fee?
Enterprise field service platforms typically charge a one time implementation fee on top of the subscription. Ask for the exact figure in writing.
What is a fair software budget for a small drain shop?
A useful test is whether one repair job a month covers it. If the system costs more than that and your techs use a fraction of it, the fit is wrong regardless of the features list.
