NorthRidge Systems LLC, a Pennsylvania limited liability company ("NorthRidge," "we," "us," or "our"), operates the FieldMetrx™ software platform, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you access or use the Service, including the FieldMetrx™ mobile application available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
FieldMetrx™ is a business-to-business software platform built for residential sewer, drain, and trenchless contracting companies. The Service is intended for use by authorized employees, contractors, and agents of contractor businesses that have entered into a service agreement with NorthRidge. The Service is not directed to consumers or to children under the age of eighteen.
By accessing or using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the FieldMetrx™ web platform, the FieldMetrx™ mobile application for iOS and Android, our public-facing website, and any other digital property that links to or references this Policy. This Policy does not apply to information collected by third parties operating their own websites, applications, or services, even when accessed through a link in the Service.
Two categories of users interact with the Service. First, business users are employees, contractors, and agents of contractor companies that license the Service. Second, end customers are residential property owners or occupants whose information is entered into the Service by business users in connection with field service work performed at their property. This Policy addresses both categories.
When a contractor business signs up for the Service, we collect business information including company name, business address, primary contact name, email address, phone number, billing information, and tax identification details where required.
When individual users are added to a contractor account, we collect user account information including full name, email address, phone number, job title or role, login credentials, and any profile preferences the user configures.
When business users enter customer or job information into the Service, that information is provided to us by the business user, not by the end customer directly. This may include end customer names, service addresses, contact phone numbers and email addresses, property notes, service history, payment records, and proposal acceptance signatures.
When you use the Service, we automatically collect certain technical information including device type, operating system version, mobile device identifiers, IP address, browser type, application version, crash logs, performance metrics, and timestamps of activity. This information is used to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
We use industry-standard logging and analytics tools to monitor usage patterns, diagnose issues, and detect abuse or security threats. These tools may set cookies or use similar identifiers in the web application. The mobile application uses standard mobile SDK telemetry, not cookies.
The FieldMetrx™ mobile application requests access to your device camera and, where applicable, your photo library. This access is required for core Service functionality, including the TrenchCam feature, field photo documentation, and AI-assisted defect identification.
When you capture imagery through the Service, the resulting photos and videos are uploaded to our cloud storage and associated with the corresponding job, customer, and user account. Imagery captured may include the interior and exterior of residential properties, sewer and drain line camera footage, equipment, and on-site conditions. We do not access your personal photo library outside of images you explicitly select for upload to a job.
Important regarding residential property imagery: Business users are responsible for ensuring they have appropriate authorization from property owners or occupants before capturing imagery on a property. NorthRidge processes this imagery on behalf of the contractor business as the data controller of that imagery.
The Service collects precise and approximate location data from your device when you use location-dependent features, including job site check-in, route documentation, address autocomplete, and proximity-based job assignment. Location data is collected only while the application is in use unless you separately enable background location, which is optional and may be required for certain advanced features such as automated job site arrival logging.
Location data is associated with the corresponding job record and user account. We do not sell location data, share it with advertising networks, or use it for any purpose unrelated to providing the Service.
With your express permission, the Service may access your device contacts and calendar to facilitate job scheduling, customer lookup, and appointment management. Access is requested at the time the relevant feature is first used. You may decline this permission, in which case the relevant features will be unavailable but the rest of the Service will continue to function. We do not upload your full contact list or calendar to our servers; we access only the entries necessary to complete the action you initiate.
With your permission, we send push notifications to your device for purposes including new job assignments, schedule changes, customer messages, proposal status updates, and platform alerts. You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings. Disabling push notifications does not affect your ability to use the Service, but you may miss time-sensitive operational alerts.
We may receive information about you or your business from third parties, including authentication providers (such as Google or Microsoft if you use single sign-on), payment processors, address verification services, and integration partners that you or your business connect to the Service. We use this information solely to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
We use the information described above to operate the Service, authenticate users, provide customer support, process payments, generate proposals and reports, deliver AI-assisted features including the Axel™ system, send transactional and operational communications, monitor and improve performance, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with legal obligations, and enforce our agreements.
Axel™ Processing. The Service includes Axel™, a proprietary AI system that generates field reports, proposals, and operational guidance based on inputs supplied by business users. Inputs may include job descriptions, captured imagery, customer notes, and historical job data within the contractor's account. Axel™ uses tier-one US-based language model providers under enterprise terms that prohibit the use of customer data to train third-party foundation models. Axel™ generated outputs are reviewed and approved by business users before being shared with end customers.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information with third parties for their independent marketing purposes. We do not use personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We retain account information and customer data for the duration of the contractor's active subscription and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and support business continuity. Specific retention periods are set forth in the contractor's service agreement.
Upon termination of a contractor account, the contractor may request export of their data in a standard format. After a defined post-termination period specified in the service agreement, we delete or anonymize the data unless retention is required by law.
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These safeguards include encryption in transit using industry-standard TLS, encryption at rest for sensitive data, role-based access controls, audit logging, and ongoing security monitoring.
No method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is one hundred percent secure. While we work to protect information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for any activity occurring under your account.
Business users may update profile information, change passwords, and adjust notification preferences within the application. Account administrators may add, remove, or modify user permissions at any time. Mobile permissions including camera, location, contacts, calendar, and push notifications can be adjusted at any time through your device's operating system settings.

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws including but not limited to Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and Montana may have similar rights regarding access, deletion, correction, and portability of personal information. The Service is intended for use by businesses operating in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you acknowledge that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. If you are a resident of the EEA, UK, or Switzerland and believe we hold personal information about you, contact us using the information in Section 11.
The Service is not directed to children under the age of eighteen, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact us immediately and we will take appropriate action.
The Service may include links to or integrations with third-party websites, applications, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service you use.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Policy with a revised "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, by sending notice through the Service or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Policy constitutes your acceptance of the changes.
