How to Track Materials on a Plumbing Truck Without a Spreadsheet Mess

Why spreadsheets fail on a plumbing truck
A spreadsheet needs someone to update it at the end of the day. On a busy truck, that person does not exist. The tech is soaked, the last job ran long, and the last thing he wants to do is count fittings in a parking lot.
If a system requires end of day discipline from a tired tech, it will fail. Every time.
Track at the point of use, not at end of day
The only material tracking that works is the kind that happens the second the part comes off the truck. A tap on the phone during the job, tied to the invoice already open. If it takes more than two taps, it will not get done.
